Kristy, Co-Owner

Kristy brings extensive event planning experience and a calming presence to each of her events. Her journey began while living in Naples, Florida where she helped friends with event decor and planning as a hobby. After making significant connections with local venues and vendors, she was encouraged by friends and family to develop her skills into a business. Kristy fell in love with the actual work of event planning, of different pieces of a larger puzzle coming together slowly until it culminates into something unforgettable.

With over 15 years of experience planning beautiful weddings and events with resorts and venues throughout Southwest Florida, Kristy recently began traveling for destination weddings.

In 2024, after raising her four children to adulthood in Florida, she made the decision to finally return to her roots in Cincinnati, Ohio where she joined her lifelong friend to develop the company they always dreamed about.

With the combined experience of over 25 years of planning events, Kristy and Debbie bring their expertise and poise paired with creative thinking and a love of gathering, culminating in The Event Company. They finally have the opportunity to pursue their passion, which is to ensure their clients have truly special and stress-free celebrations that will be remembered fondly for years to come.

Debbie, Co-Owner

Debbie was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and comes from a large family of 8. She learned at a young age, “the more the merrier,” was how her dad chose to live life. She spent her career in sales and has always thrived in a client/representative relationship. Making sure the client was happy has always been her number one goal. If you have a client who trusts you, they will always call you first, for anything.

Debbie has two children, Matthew and Megan, and they are her biggest fans.

When Debbie isn’t planning an event, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf, pickleball, euchre, listening to live bands, attending Bengals and Reds games, and any other outdoor activity!

Debbie met Kristy when they attended Ursuline Academy together and have been friends ever since.  Often mistaken as sisters, they have so many things in common, they might as well be!

Starting The Event Company was a dream they shared for a few years and with their combined 25 years of experience, they will be the answer to any event! From weddings to corporate functions, this team will create the perfect experience for your guests.
